Why book with Shelby Ann Foto?
As someone with experience in front and behind the camera -- as well as someone with a very large, very rowdy family -- I pride myself in putting people at ease during our shoot. Fussy toddlers, squirmy spouses, and camera-shy clients are my specialty! I believe in making the entire experience as fun and painless as possible, so that you not only have great photos, but a great time as well.
How will we receive our photos?
Your final edited photos will be sent via digital album; all photos are available for download at full resolution, no watermarks. You can order prints through my site if you'd like to support my business that way, or feel free to use a service of your choice!
How do we book a session?
After inquiring about a session, I'll send you a questionnaire asking for your top dates, time, and location preference. After we confirm your session, you'll receive a contract, electronic invoice, as well as my Style Guide and Photoshoot Tip Guide. Send me a message shelbyannfoto@gmail.com with the subject line "Holiday Specials Info" to receive a pdf with all the information.
What if I want a different location?
I do have a few non-local spots where I will be shooting holiday specials, but they do require a travel fee. If you would like a more tailored shoot, please feel free to reach out about my regular portrait sessions!
How do we pay?
All payment for Holiday Specials are due at the time of booking; there is no fee to reschedule once, but the fee is non-refundable once paid. Unfortunately, I've had bad actors book shoots, never show up, and refuse to provide payment, and as this is such a busy season, I don't want families to miss out on photos because of others.
There are two invoice options to pay: one with Zelle/mailed check, and one with card/bank transfer/venmo/paypal. The latter has a 3% processing fee.
How come second edits are more?
It takes a lot of time and storage for me to hold onto raw files and go back to re-edit photos. Since I know some clients don't take advantage of second edits for these shorter shoots, I wanted to offer cheaper packages for those who don't require extra image editing. You can always add on second edits once you receive your photos.
What should we do to prepare?
Up to our shoot, I encourage clients to send me any inspo/thoughts/qs about our session. That may include texting me photos of wardrobe options, or collaborating on a Pinterest board together. All clients will receive my Style Guide as well as tips and tricks for making our shoot a success.
Where do you shoot?
There are five locations to choose from when booking a Holiday Special; these are all local spots to me where I know we can get great photos. I also have a few select spots in San Francisco, Pacifica, San Jose, Oakland, Half Moon Bay, and Fremont, but there is a travel fee.
